How can I use Swank K-12 Streaming in the Classroom?

Directly from your SmartBoard
  1. Open the SmartBoard Browser from the SmartBoard Home screen
  2. Visit our ClassLink launchpad - launchpad.classlink.com/keystonecsd
  3. Once you have logged into ClassLink click on Swank K-12 Streaming
  4. Browse to the material you wish to present and select Watch
Cast from your MacBook
  1. Ensure that AirPlay/Screen Mirroring is turned off
    1. leaving Screen Mirroring on will lead to a blank video with sound due to DRM

  2. Open your Chrome Browser
  3. Visit our ClassLink launchpad - launchpad.classlink.com/keystonecsd
  4. Once you have logged into ClassLink click on Swank K-12 Streaming
  5. Browse to the material you wish to present and select Watch
  6. Once the video has loaded, right click anywhere on the video and select Cast...
  7. Choose your SmartBoard from the dropdown list that appears
    1. In the event the video begins to buffer, you may need to Refresh the page and re-Cast the video
    2. You may navigate to other Chrome tabs while the video continues to play on the SmartBoard

With an HDMI cable
  1. Connect your SmartBoard to your MacBook with an HDMI cable and CalDigit or other HDMI capable connector
    1. Choose Allow if prompted to allow the connection of a new device
  2. Follow steps 1 through 5 above
    1. If sound is not coming from the SmartBoard you may need to open the control panel as you did above, but click on the > symbol in the upper right corner of the Sound panel, and then choose your SmartBoard from the dropdown menu that appears, generally the first option under MacBook Speakers
    2. You may also change your Display settings to either Mirror your display (SmartBoard and MacBook show the same content) or Extend your display. See guide here - External Display
